A leading nationwide retailer of medium to better–priced casual apparel for fashion–conscious young men and women with over 450 stores recognized the need for an eCommerce framework with extensive and customizable omnichannel capabilities.
With Broadleaf Commerce, omnichannel aspirations can scale to new heights, giving a customer experience unparalleled in the retail space.
Reaching end of life with a legacy platform, the retailer needed to migrate to an open, customizable solution able to grow as the business did. Other requirements of a new framework included the ability to solve the many omnichannel challenges inherent to retail order management.
It was imperative for the system performance to not only greatly improve but also allow for flexibility and innovation across the enterprise alongside existing systems. The retailer chose to implement a Broadleaf Commerce Unified solution.
Providing an open architecture allowed the retailer to integrate with new third parties and innovate on the Broadleaf Unified Commerce solution. The system was deployed with partner Credera alongside internal teams for full solution migration front- and back-end. The partnership delivered Broadleaf OMS, solving challenges both online and in stores.
The platform was implemented across Catalog, Content, Customer, Account, Cart & Checkout, Merchandising, and Offer management, providing innovation and the ability to scale across the entire customer journey.
Solving both in store and online problems resulted in higher revenue and streamlined processes on the front-end and the back-end. High traffic holidays such as Black Friday and Cyber Monday, which previously would put strain on servers, perform with ease every year. The retailer has cultivated innovative customer experiences with features such as buy online, pick up in store and inventory look up by location.
According to the VP of Information Technology at the retailer, “With Broadleaf, we have accelerated new feature development and innovation many times over to meet the aggressive demands of the business.”
